‘“There are no absolutes.” Francis Schaeffer said it best: “When there are no absolutes to govern society, society becomes the absolute.”’

Exactly. And in today’s terms “society” means the government.

You are the first person to respond to Schaeffer’s quote. I have posted it so many times, yet you are the first. Thank you. His son, Franky, has strayed from the faith of his father. Read his “The god who is there” and “How should we then live.” Classics in Christian thought and evangelism.
