Your post is why we are having a hard time changing things. I’m one of the biggest Star Wars fans there isand I will not see this movie. If more conservatives stood on principle the movie draw would fall and they would get the message, but no RINO’swill RINO it’s what they do.

To be fair, it’s only that UK reviewer’s claim that it was gay, so we can’t say with absolute certainty that those two characters were gay. And besides, from what I heard, Jyn’s a step up towards being believable compared to Rey, and she actually does require saving several times without it diminishing her character either. I might as well add that the guys aren’t depicted in a negative light either. Certainly, despite what the trailers indicate, there’s actually LESS SJWism than in The Force Awakens, from what I heard at least.

Now, if it was Weitz and/or Whitta who stated that they were gay, THEN we definitely have a problem on our hands.

Someone told me I probably should see it since there’s little to no agendas he picked up in the film (well, aside from MAYBE the Vietcong bit, which was prevalent since the first film), and considering he voted for Donald Trump, I’m pretty sure he’s no RINO.

> If more conservatives stood on principle...

Sure; but “a lefty writer writes a piece projecting gayarama where it isn’t there” isn’t a principle. Avoiding Target and Kellogg are solid stands based on actually poor behavior from those companies.

If the alleged behavior was in the film, or they’d made a big political scene, I’m with you. The guy on Twitter alleging an anti-Trump edit with no actual evidence, or this writer wishing in print for a gay scene, only make me want to avoid that Twit(ter) and this writer.

I haven’t seen the film, but co-workers didn’t report any political crud, and several on this thread indicate the allegation is pure BS. I believe our fellow FReepers more easily than I believe Tom Butler of “Yahoo Movies UK.”
