With fewer than 40 days remaining as first lady, Michelle Obama is continuing to reflect on the legacy she and President Obama will leave after having occupied the White House for the last eight years. In a new interview with Oprah Winfrey, the first lady addressed the election outcome and suggested that the U.S. is entering a time of hopelessness.
We are feeling what not having hope feels like, Obama told Winfrey in response to a question about whether President Obama had achieved the hope and change he promised while campaigning in 2008. As she often did while campaigning for Hillary Clinton, she didnt mention President-elect Donald Trump by name. But she alluded to the contrast many in the country are feeling since he won the election last month. We feel the difference now, she said, noting that her husband had succeeded in keeping his campaign promise of fostering hope. Hope is necessary. Its a necessary concept, she elaborated. And Barack didnt just talk about hope because he thought it was a nice slogan to get votes. He and I and so many believed that what else do you have if you dont have hope? What do you give your kids if you cant give them hope?
Those are philosophical questions that the nation will no doubt begin to grapple with in earnest over the coming months. And theyre not the first contemplative remarks the first lady, who has earned a special place in Americans hearts, has made recently. Barry is obviously pixxed at the attention she is getting
Look at his shifty eyes, no concern whatsoever
Trump would have stopped and sent doctors to check her out
Santorum’s wife would have jumped off the stage and given her CPR
“...... what else do you have if you dont have hope?”....
Well, I and millions more have hope:

I hope she moves to So. Africa
I hope they never set foot on American soil again.
Should I keep hoping?
He started to lecture the reporters again, but their attention went back to their sick colleague. Then Barry Soetoro got really angry.
a little self inflicted wrist slitting, perhaps, is in order as a solution
Considering all the fraudulent votes for Hilary (especially in California), one wonders whether Obama truly got the majority of real votes.
This is so out of line for her in so many ways. What happened to a smooth and peaceful transition?
Who give’s an F what this filthy ape in heels says?
Who give’s an F what this filthy ape in heels says?
I’ve been hopeless for 8 years, someone else’s turn now.
What to know who isn’t hopeless? the carrier workers and the 25K that will be hired by IBM.
GFY Michelle and get out of the peoples house!
I have never been through such a disaster as the last 8 years.
A lot of folks are still in for a rude awakening. There has been a lot of damage done.
I expect they’ll try to cripple the Trump administration any way they can; with their operatives.
Bwahahahahahaha
That’s funny. I am so happy and full of hope.
I want to market “I survived the Obama administration” T - shirts. Made in the USA of course.
That’s what 8 years of political domestic terror by a deranged, limp-wristed, Moslem leftist will get you. It’s even worse when the “loyal opposition” mostly bent over to facilitate it.
And this is supposedly not fake news because . . .
What a miserable POS he/she is, just go away already!
Man-gina.
She should shut up she does not speak for me.
I don’t know about you, but I’m not tired of winning yet...
