RNC officials, concerned they too might have been compromised, called a private computer security firm, which in turn called the FBI and obtained information about what kinds of malicious emails to look for, the person said.
Upon inspection, the RNC found that its electronic filters had blocked emails sent to a former employee matching the description theyd been warned about.
The apparently successful blocking of a Russian espionage operation offers one possible explanation why the GOPs main political organization didnt suffer the same fate as its Democratic counterparta deluge of leaked emails revealing private correspondence and internal strategy.

Man, I can't wait for Trump to get in and purge the people at the CIA who concocted this lie.

Likely most of the DNC “workers” were on porn sites and had machines more infected than any Sq. millimeter of Bill Clinton’s body.

Have you noticed that we never see anything in any of these articles that includes proof that it was the Russian Government doing the hacking? It’s just assumed to be true and not worth discussing.
And this after Assange and (amazingly) Lynch pretty much let Russia off the hook. Big Lies are are to kill.

I can certainly believe the DNC had non-existent information security. What a bunch of incompetents.

Standard Fake News procedure.
Have one stooge run out and create a lie based on unnamed sources that may not even exist. Then all the little fake news organs endlessly repeat and distort the lie hoping if the lie is repeated often enough it become perceived as truth.

Seems like the standard “phishing” exploit.

The thing is ... the truth revealed by the hack, whomever did it, is what sank the RATs. Their story is really that it was unfair, unbalanced sans revelations from the RNC about
their shenanigans.
BUT ... what a RNC hack would have revealed is the extent of the "Stop Trump" activities. That would not have counter-balanced the DNC revelations. Hence sHrillary still loses.

The former employee was Russian?

Possible - or his address was the one the perps happened to find for an attempted delivery of malware attachments.

Maybe the RNC’s email weren’t proof of corruption like the DNC’s were. Then again.....

The apparently successful blocking of a Russian espionage operation offers one possible explanation why the GOPs main political organization didnt suffer the same fate as its Democratic counterparta deluge of leaked emails revealing private correspondence and internal strategy. . . . and its possible - just possible, mind - that there wasnt anything juicer in the RNC emails than there was in Gov. Sarah Palins emails.
