This is not just a stupid action. This is providing an opportunity for terrorist action against the USA. That intent probably never could be proved in a court of law, but if in wartime someone did the same with questionable allies in a secure area, they would be charged.
Agreed...Sadly under this administration things have gradually snowballed as little if no action has been taken in many cases to stop 0bama.
