Yeah... they’re desperate so they’ll make up fake claims about GOP Elector defections.
Respecting the election result isn’t a rule... when the Left loses.
They make the claims in hopes that one: electors will think they are getting on a bandwagon and will turn their coats or two: that voters in the future will remember electors having voted “their consciences” and turning coat even though it didn’t happen.
If I was an elector and these idiots contacted me:
I'd tell them whatever they wanted to hear. I'd still vote for Trump like I should, but I'd lie to the people contacting me.
I can easily imagine 20 electors out there getting a kick out of jerking this guy's chain.
If the left cared about election integrity, they would support voter ID laws and other measures to protect the right to vote. But they don't; they try to disenfranchise voters every chance they get.
But let’s be honest, if the shoe were on the other foot, the Freepers would be the ones hoping for these exact same things and espousing similar conspiracy theories. The far left and the far right are most similar to one another in their reactions to stress.

Let’s say, just for discussion, that Trump should be denied 270 electoral votes. Wouldn’t it then go to the House to decide? Being the GOP has a healthy margin i believe it would simply reaffirm Trump. However, grant that there’s no guarantees this would happen. Guess it would depend on how many never Trumpers there are in the GOP side.
