up here its about $2500 for a root canal, $6000 for a single implant, $600 just to pull a tooth (doorknob and string being outdated except for Obamacare) and ...

people needing dental work should definitely check out dental tourism in Mexico

A friend had major work quote of almost $15,000 in US. He had the same work done at a quality facility in Mexico for $1,000.

I worked with a guy who needed a root canal (we worked in DC). The rates locally were outrageous. So we came to research and find out that you could fly to Costa Rica, and have the root canal done....airfare, one night in a hotel, and the work...for 50-percent of the cost of what they were going to charge in DC.

After some research, we also found a North Carolina dentist (five hours driving) who resided in some rural community and would do it for 50-percent of what the normal charge was in DC.

It always is upon the individual to do the homework and find the better deals.
