The IT company that supposedly helped the CIA point the finger at the Russians said that two Russian hacker groups, “Cozy Bear” and “Fancy Bear”, were the hackers responsible. They then said the hacker groups were in tight with the Russian government.

I don’t believe a word of it.

The company “ratting out” the Russian groups has a vested interest in it (cybersecurity firm, gets paid to protect companies from hackers).

Also, saying that this or that hacker group had strong ties to the Russian government is like saying 4-Chan and Anonymous have strong ties to the American Federal government. Puh-lease.
