“Also, Energy controls the nukes and I like having a Governor in charge.”
Before the election, there was a lot of talk about our political class being uniformly corrupt and depraved.
Now people are happy to see these corrupt, depraved scoundrels appointed to high office.
Nice cheap shot at Rick Perry. Suppose now you prove your allegation that he’s “uniformly corrupt and depraved” or a scoundrel.
Most of us have considered him to be a solid conservative Governor who just wasn’t our first choice for President. As I said.
What qualifications and accomplishment do you have to belittle Governor Perry? I think he will make a great energy secretary. Texas leads the way in energy production. Number 1 in the country producing 20.2% of the country’s energy.
Governor Rick Perry doesn’t strike me as a corrupt, depraved scoundrel. Would you have information that supports your negative remark towards Perry? It is what we are about: the facts.
What are you talking about?
Now people are happy to see these corrupt, depraved scoundrels appointed to high office.
I felt kind of this way at first when I heard Pence mentioned as Trump's pick for VP. That was an instinctual response on my part, but one ignorant of Mike Pence the person and his achievements. When I looked into who Pence was and heard him in interviews, etc., I began to like the pick, and even more the person, immensely.
I don't think it is wise to put people in baskets. Trump has shown his best skill so far, at least to me, in his transition effort. We aren't going to get around the Congress, and we have to govern with a little d of devil's compromise of insiders and outsiders to get the chance to change things. I think Trump is striking the right balance so far, beginning with Priebus and Bannon as his first two announcements.
I think Trump has earned a bit of the benefit of the doubt to this point. Let's see who he picks.
