THE NEW York Times has launched a blistering attack on Australias controversial asylum seeker policy, slamming Immigration Minister Peter Dutton as our own little Trump.
The weekend feature, called Broken Men in Paradise, sees Times op-ed columnist Roger Cohen speaking to various detainees on Manus Island and Nauru, and human rights lawyers.
His article deems Australias policy of offshore detention a growing embarrassment to the country, concluding that Immigration Minister Peter Dutton is Australias version of President-election Donald Trump.
The government says it has prevented deaths like those in the Mediterranean, where more than 4,000 migrants have drowned this year, Cohen writes.
By turning back the queue jumpers, a phrase that resonates in a nation devoted to a fair go for all, it has safeguarded Australias right to select who gets to people a vast and empty country. The official vow that those marooned on Manus and Nauru will never live in Australia has assumed doctrinal vehemence.
In Peter Dutton, the immigration minister, the country has its own little Trump.
He notes Mr Duttons harsh rhetoric on asylum seekers over this past year namely his portrayal of them as illiterates bent on stealing Australian jobs, and his recent suggestion that the Fraser government made mistakes in letting in Lebanese-Muslim immigrants.

I’m sure that the Aussies will be devastated when they hear what the NYT has to say about their government./s

USA Should Be Doing The Same!
(PS: Love That Graphic!)
Mr. Dutton sounds like the right man for the job.
The Australians are not cooperating with the destruction of Western Civilization that the NYT is trying to bring about.
Obama is taking Australia’s rejects to the US instead.
The people must be protected from the muslim scourge.
It's the official poster Australia is putting up in sixteen different languages all over the world, where those who need to read it can see it.
I think the NYT should be SACKED!! But what do I know?
Apparently for their own good and protection they are not quite as dumb and accommodating as the United States which apparently is hell bent on self destruction. To their credit Australia learns from examples and uses the experience other countries had in order to avoid making the same mistake. There is little doubt in mind that sooner or later we will see something resembling the last and final crusade, to eliminate this curse of mankind. I just hope I will be gone by then. But rest assured if mankind wants to advance and continue on its evolutionary path it will do it without this hindrance of a ball and chain called by some a religion.
“I just hope I will be gone by then.”

I KNOW I will, but the world I will be leaving for my grandchildren horrifies me.
It is unrecognizable.

We need an island like that!
There is always the mansion of the honourable Thomas Friedman, columnist for the New York Times. Why, he could live in an expensive condo in New York itself. Go and take a peep at how migrants would use his residence once in a while. I am sure they would be very grateful to him.

Wait a sec. Didn’t Australia get its start as an “off shore detention facility”?
I wonder if Cohen has disparaged Israel's policy on illegals.
Is the New York Times fomenting revolution in Australia? Is that legal?
What right does the New York Times have to complain that Australia is enforcing its immigration laws?
Has anyone been identified who cares what the NY Times thinks or prints?
moving right along...
