This confirms in my mind that they've finally accepted the fact that they can't "win" the election via recounts and the like.

Now they (which includes thousands within the "establishment") are getting scared s***less as it sinks in.

But, convincing the public (or the stupid ones at least) that the Russians helped Trump isn't going to change the election results, so I don't know what they're expecting to happen. Perhaps the idea is to try and spin up some protests/riots.. that seems to be their answer for everything.

This is what you call a last desperate act by a bunch of folks who are in way over their heads. The only thing they will accomplish by this is getting a bunch of these lunkheads (as you most accurately described) killed.
