Living in those circumstances of oppression is something that todays tender little ungrateful snot snow flakes will mostly NEVER get. I had the opportunity in '62 to venture into East Berlin(moronials--"What's that?") and the 180 from West to East was mind numbing. On the east side there were still huge mounds of WW II debris 17 years after the end of the war. Few people on the streets and few cars. Few shops and just all around depressing. No wonder so many risked their lives to escape to the west. I have a map of Berlin laminated from then showing the wall designation and the sectors. Pretty sobering to a 15 year old.

“the gifted satirist and artist who founded The Peoples Cube”
Excellent site. I think I read recently that he finally got his well deserved citizenship which was done the right and legal way. So nice to welcome a new Patriot that appreciates our constitution and our Republic. He is a very gifted artist and writer. Thanks for sharing.
