It is important that we hear and understand what the left is saying (even though we know it is irrational), so that we can think about how to respond to this kind of rhetoric when it comes up in everyday conversation, and trust me it will come up unless you live in your own little isolated world. This article is so typical of what many leftists are saying. They truly believe this stuff about Trump to be true and I was finding myself all to often inadequate to debating them.
We all need to become better at countering this kind of talk. Perhaps instead of wanting to "kill the messenger", we could discuss ways to respond to them ...... Like for instance: "When Obama was elected I didn't like it but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and wait a few months to see how he did the job. As the months went by Obama's actions clearly pointed to what kind of man he is. Why don't you give Trump a chance and let him either sink or swim, let him prove whether or not he can improve the economy and improve And improve the lives of all Americans."
It's impossible NOT to 'hear what the left is saying'...
The leftwing's the dominate cultural force in the country: from the Sunday comics to the New York Times to PBS, NPR, ABC, CBS, NBC, and 99.9% of Hollywood movies, almost all of American colleges and public schools taught by union teachers.
YOU Apple Pan Dowdy think we're NOT exposed to liberal ideas? Are you putting me on? We swim in the sea of liberal ideas... it's impossible to escape from them...
Many of us come here BECAUSE WE'D LIKE TO HEAR AND SHARE CONSERVATIVE IDEAS. That's what's missing in the cultural "Idea Desert"... It's not possible to escape liberal ideas. It's like feeling concern for the black community because there aren't enough places selling beer.
When self appointed 'editors' force feed us more and more liberal crap it gets tiresome.
