Private sector folks can mop the floor with govt workers. Swamp drainers by default.

MSM will whine, but at this point, with govt’s nose in so many private sector jobs, it’s good to see the shoe on the other foot.

Per the WSJ:
President-elect Donald Trump is expected to name fast-food executive Andy Puzder as labor secretary, according to people familiar with the decision.

Mr. Puzder, chief executive of CKE Restaurants Holdings Inc., the parent company of the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s burger chains, has been a vocal advocate for cutting back regulations he says have stifled growth in the restaurant industry, which represents 10% of the American workforce.

Mr. Puzder, an adviser and contributor to Mr. Trump’s campaign, has criticized the Affordable Care Act and has argued against raising the federal minimum wage higher than $9 an hour. Democrats have called for raising the federal minimum wage for as high as $15.

Mr. Puzder is on the board of the International Franchise Association, a trade group that has criticized the Obama administration, saying it attacked the franchising model by implementing regulations that stunt job growth. Instead of focusing on stepping up workplace regulation to create jobs and higher wages, Mr. Puzder would likely call for tools such as an overhaul of the tax system, said Matt Haller, a spokesman for the franchise trade group.

Too early to say what kind of Labor Secretary he will be, but I do know that the Hardee’s commercials are the best in the business.

Interesting to note that Trump is going against the grain. Rather then going to Universities to hire theoreticians, or hiring career poltical/lobbyists type, he is going to the private sector to hire people with private sector experience instead or to the military to hire warrior class appointees

He is the one who is moving CKE out of California. I can’t find the article but he referenced how difficult it is to do business in California.

Lots of non-politicians. Drawn from retired military and private sector. Heavy emphasis on executive experience. Donald Trump considers himself a good judge of people. One of the reasons he can run a far-flung business empire is this ability. He is comfortable with his own success and is comfortable around successful people. It’s a good thing to bring in people from the private sector, who leave positions that paid millions, for a year or more of public service at pay scales that look pretty good to me, but are peanuts to them. If these people were only out for themselves, they’d never consider the job.
