“The probe comes after U.S. General John Nicholson, leader of NATO’s Resolute Support Afghan mission, said over the weekend that Taliban connections to Russia and Iran are not advancing the cause of stability in the region.”
The Russians turned me into a newt.
Moscow supplied the Taliban with ammunition in order to restrain the widening influence of ISIS and its affiliated groups in Afghanistan and preclude threats against the Central Asian countries.
Which is only necessary because Clinton and Obama (plus McStain and a few others) created ISIS in the first place.
Good grief, what a mess we have to clean up after. Like following around a toddler with diarrhea.
Iran supporting Taliban - I think we’ve known about this for over 10yrs.
No amount of words will convince me, Assad did not allow Jihadists to operate from Syria during the Iraq war that started in 2003; the Bush administration even almost expanded the war to Iraq and Syria harbored Saddam’s brother.
By the same token, maybe we shouldn’t have operated against the Russian in Afghanistan back in the ‘80s.
