They said the juveniles are from Tennessee, but not Sevier County. Officials said state law prevents them from releasing more information about the youths. Dunn constantly said everything was 'part of the investigation' when asked for details.

Arson carries the same penalties as murder in my state, with similar aggravating and mitigating circumstances. Class one felonies.
We never did learn who started the tri-county fire here in Texas in Sept of 2011. It was swept under the rug.

Two black kids would have attracted attention. I’m guessing it is two white boys who were bored or riding high on meth.

I’m pretty sure the police and media would have splashed white kids’ faces/names all over by now. They would be so relieved. Their silence makes me go hmmmmm
They will splash the faces as soon as they give out the names. But as of now they are still treating them as juveniles. From a news site: “The juveniles remain unnamed, but they could be tried as adults.”
I hope these teens didnt do it on purpose...
Another thread said they were being charged with “aggravated arson” - which I looked up - means it was intentional to cause damage. Now whether they were just going to burn the neighbor’s old shed or the entire forest, I don’t know. But I’m guessing they have information that it wasn’t an accident.
