EPA is 100% under the control of POTUS. 100%.

It was created by Nixon with an executive order. Nixon showed Congress respect and CHOSE to submit his proposed head of the agency for approval by Congress along with his budget request for its formation.

All subsequent Presidents have shown Congress the very same courtesy.

However, as this is NOT a Cabinet level position the Administrator does not require Congressional approval...despite Pelosi’s claim Trump’s pick should be blocked.

The only power Congress has over EPA is funding.

I guess if Congress doesn’t like who Trump appoints to lead this agency they could withhold funding until he appoints somebody they like.

But Trump can have whoever he wants to run the agency and nobody can stop him...and he doesn’t need anyone’s approval.

Nancy Pelosi says the Pruitt nomination must be blocked "for the sake of the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the planet we will leave our children."

And they don't find it ironic that they call us the Party of Scare Tactics.....you can always tell when her panties are in a twist - it looks like her face is gonna crack.
