Last week on MSNBC's "All In with Chris Hayes," a guest mentioned the new unmentionable: Weimar. The guest was Bob Garfield, a liberal media critic, and he was discussing Donald Trump. Hayes was mildly disapproving of the reference. "I tend to stay away from Weimar comparisons for a variety of reasons," he said. That would make sense if only Trump himself did not constantly bring it to mind.

I believe if any US President, Trump or otherwise, were to suspend civil liberties in the event of a terror attack that there would be hell to pay from Conservatives. The pitchforks and rifles would come out in droves. These people are delusional if they think we would just lay down because Trump is our guy.
These morons can’t tell the difference between right and wrong, good and evil, up and down, light and dark, hero and villain. Thank God that the American people—at least half of them—can.
