I agree—relatively hyper and mindless dogs.
My friend’s dog is beyond stupid. Also, he looks like Fred MacMurray.
Separately they’re both good, bright breeds but their innate personalities are too disparate to consistently “work”.
Their only commonality is that they are both water dogs, created for hunting.
The upside is that Standard Poodles were once used in police work and make good guard dogs.
But their other half may be more prone to lovingly greeting intruders with a big smile.
