Wanna bet?
All my useless eaters are in secure houses and the mice run through the walls of this 300 year old log house.
:D

My black snake has been found under kitchen sink - on the fireplace mantle - waiting at door. When you live in a barn they come and go at will. Have no idea how she gets in, but it was her domicile before it was mine. She keeps the rattle snakes away too😬

Glue traps.
The cat does hunt and the Akita, too, but glue traps do the best job. My house is 200 years newer than yours, so our mice are more upscale: they steal bait from snap traps and avoid those enclosed thingies.
Glue traps, though, work really well.
