Uh huh. That machine HAS been one of the most expensive projects ever undertaken by any nation on the face of the planet. It is still not ready to do its job. It is the "Shop Smith" of the fighter jet: It can do everything, yet a shop full of individual machines each with its own motor does a better job. Then there are those Swiss Army knives that are about two inches wide. Lots of tools, most of which collapse on your hand because the thing can't be held by human hands. That is just the way things always seem to work out.

The Apollo program cost less and went much further.

“It is still not ready to do its job”

False. The F-35 is has been operational for a while now.
Norway, Japan, the UK, Israel and others have all started taking delivery of F-35s.
We have two training bases in full operation training F-35 pilots as fast as they can. This thing is here now, it is operational and it is here to stay. It is time for those ignorant of aircraft and military procurement to stop whining about what they don’t understand. Even TALKING about canceling it would be a huge mistake, pissing off our closest allies and emboldening our enemies. That is why the LEFT wants you to keep talking about it.
