No, “Admiral Kuznetsov”. The USA can discount the Russia’s carrier ability as it’s now. Probably, as it has been before also.

“...skidded off the runway...”. ...on an aircraft carrier.
That’s funny.

...skidded off the runway.... ...on an aircraft carrier. Thats funny. Oh, cut the Russian translator some slack for her (most likely it has been a woman) military vocabulary.
To: elhombrelibre
you are aware right that we have lost planes too, and lives?

I seem to recall that this happened about a month ago.
Russia is no longer using the carrier and has moved all aircraft to a land base.

Check McCain’s Navy Carrier Pilot Flight record before he was shot down over Vietnam.

“Ivan and his aircraft carriers, what will those wacky guys do next. Is the name of that aircraft carrier the F Troop?”
LOL! That’s a good one. I used to love that show, just plain stupid humor.
Sorta fits this Ruskie aircraft carrier. Actually, this is very embarrassing for the Russians.

My bet is the arresting gear itself is OK, I think the problem is quality control of the cable mfg process..

According to Jane’s all carrier operations have been transferred to land. The Navy jets can be seen beside the Air Force jets in satellite photos. No activity on the carrier deck for two weeks.
To: Gen.Blather
The Russian MoD as well as the Russian President’s spokesman have confirmed the loss and its circumstances.
