He didn’t dump them to the press. He revealed them to his biographer who had a clearance as an intel officer as I recall.

Having a TS doesn’t give you access to everything TS! You violate “special access” rules you have still have violated the law. Just because Broadwell was trained to be an Intel officer doesn’t mean she had a right to see the information. If I remember correctly she was there to write Petraeus’s biography. (Which I think is very odd!) So she was not there to act as an Intel officer! In that capacity it’s hard to imagine why she had any right to any Intel. If it was done because she was hanging around Afghan Command HQ all day and it was easier to keep her TS etc active then actually enforce security rules then they have a bigger security problem there then just Broadwell & Petraeus.
