“The announcement that it would seek an emergency federal court order on Monday for a recount came hours after it dropped a case in the state courts.”

I would think pretty much any Federal court would immediately reject such a request because the issue isn’t ripe for Federal consideration since the plaintiff failed to exhaust all possible State remedies first.

That was my first reaction, too. I think it makes the plaintiff look like they are court-shopping - which, of course, they are. This is an impulsive act of desperation. They are unraveling and are powerless to stop themselves. Hopefully, the federal courts will not cater to their collective mental breakdown.
