Actually, Jon Huntsman and Mitt Romney can’t stand each other. They are cousins, I believe, but are very competitive with each other and don’t like each other. If Huntsman gets it and Romney doesn’t, Mitt’s brain is going to be fried at the thought of his fellow Mormon relative whom he has had a bad family relationship with for years, gets chosen by Trump for SOS.
If Trump is truly out for revenge against Mitt Romney, then choosing Huntsman will make a mortal enemy of Trump out of Mitt. It will be a bridge too far and Mitt will take it as the ultimate humiliation. Interesting times.
The job of secretary of state is not that important. Huntsman is probably fine for the position. He is a former governor, former ambassador to China and head of a major company in the US.
