Ah, when powerful alumni speak, the college usually backs down fast. That's why when the University of Texas hired Charlie Strong and that university's biggest booster, automotive dealership owner Red McCombs (a Texas alumnus) disapproved, it was only a matter of time before Strong was let go.

Maybe the Massachusetts college got word that its federal subsidies were going to be withdrawn, so they could find another country to support them. No flag no federal funds!
