Do they have a place that ships them near you. Remember shipping one to my parents on one of my trips to Maine. I had only called to tell a package was coming and to make sure they were home. Content was a surprise! Were they ever surprised. Dad said mom was so anxious waiting for the delivery truck They spent a fun time guessing what it could be and mom squealed when they opened it up. Dad cooked it for mom and mom set the table complete with candles.
IIRC it cost more to ship then the actual cost. But worth every penny to hear tales of their joy.
There are stories of people getting live lobsters, and trashing them because they were green. They figured lobster are supposed to be red. LOL. Well, not really LOL, it is a waste of good food.
Yes, there are several places nearby that ship them.
They do a LOT of business during the Christmas season.
A Freeper friend of mine paid 60 bucks for 4 lobster tails in Az.
For that amount of money, we bought enough steamer clams and lobsters to feed 6 people (3 of them had come to visit us from Texas!)
(That was in the summer months, mind)
