your comment about not-in-the-labor-force got me thinking and I got a surprise. Looking at https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LNU05000000 tells us that it’s actually gone up more than 14 million!
That number may never go down becuase the U.S. population will continue to grow, but what I expect is that the ‘in-the-labor-force’ will soar and that’s going to make the headline unemployment rate go up —even w/ more people working. Yeah, the lefty press will whine but we don’t listen to them any more anyway.
