How do you feel about Putin killing journalists?
Israel is wise to let the Shia and Sunnis punch themselves out in Syria. It’s like when the Iraqis were fighting the Iranians. It’s like when the Nazis and Soviets were fighting. If one of them, Assad and his Iranian allies or the Sunni al Qaeda and ISIS terrorists, breaks off of killing each other to become a threat to Israel, then Israel should take direct action. Assad and his socialist dynasty along with his Iranian allies, will remain a constant threat. There seems to be no middle way.
It hasn’t happened yet .
People still live in Damascus.
A partial fulfillment doesn’t fulfill the prophecy.
There is going to be nothing left of Damascus.
It’s starting to happen and that is why the Syrians are being chased out of Syria like verse 13
In one evening the city will be destroyed and won’t be there in the morning.
Isa 17:13 The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
Isa 17:14 And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
Updating this story, speculatively speaking (because I know very little on this matter except this story); Israel could have been gunning for this guy, Wahhab of Lebanon.
Makes sense to me.
Israel goes after its foes, usually, terrorists they are after. Israel hit some terrorist there in Syria about a year ago, I remember that. Someone who had done Israel a bad deed.
Naharnet is one of the few places I read the comments avidly; because those commenting definitely have some pertinent views on what is happening.
Just wanted to add all of that in.
It happened — read about the Assyrian sack of Damascus. The city was depopulated. All of what Isaiah said, HAPPENED in 730 BC circa
That’s not relevant to Putin killing jihadis.
Do read a little — hitler hated Christianity and wanted to replace it with a Nordic Aryan god worshipping cult. He hated a religion with a Jewish god.
“Thats not relevant to Putin killing jihadis.”
Aw, another example of “jihadis” since Putin, isn’t killing ISIS. He does nothing against them.
“The opponent of Putin and a friend of Ukraine General Mattis - the top candidate to head Pentagon - media “

Gen. Mattis may be excellent against the Kremlin criminals.
Do you see a difference between journalists and jihadis?
You missed my point about your comment on Russians being Christian. You noted how long that nation had been Christian based on when Christianity was accepted there. I don’t see that as the way to determine if a country is or is not Christian. To make my point, I brought up Germany under Hitler and Dietrich Bonhoeffer (see Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy by Eric Metaxa). Yes, Hitler hated Christianity because of its Jewish Origins and because true followers of the Christian faith could never approve or collaborate with the Eugenics (T4 project) or the genocide. Yet Hitler used the Christian Church. Likewise, Putin does the same. He feigns support for Christianity to buttress his regime, not because he loves Jesus Christ and is his humble servant. His war on Moslems is not like a Crusader; it’s a rational for expanding his empire. I’d hope you’d see through him.
