After a dinner meeting with Donald Trump at Jean-Georges restaurant in New York, Mitt Romney delivered a glowing review of the president-elects leadership during the transition.
Mr. Romney, who was invited to the dinner purportedly for a follow-up interview for the job of secretary of state, described it as a wonderful evening and said that he was impressed with Mr. Trumps handling of his upset victory in the election.
We had another discussion about affairs throughout the world and these discussions Ive had with him have been enlightening, and interesting, and engaging, Mr. Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, told reporters outside the restaurant.
Mr. Romney said that from what hes seen of Mr. Trumps leadership during the transition, he was optimistic that Americas best days are ahead of us.

I really think groveling impresses Trump not at all. It’s fun to see, though.
John and Ken on KFi played a little compilation of audio this afternoon, of Mitt during the primaries just ripping Trump several new holes, interspersed with his careful, complimentary language this week. I was laughing so hard.
When you hear that flipping and flopping, you can’t imagine Donald Trump would pick him.
Mitt is really going to make Jebbie and GWB jealous.
Maybe Mittens is lobbying to get Egg McMuffin in the new administration. Didn’t Egg keep Trump from taking Red Hampshire?
