Stein has crossed the Rubicon.
She no longer is requesting a recount, she is contesting the outcome of the election itself.
It’s going to get ugly going forward.
Team Clinton must have some plan associated with the inspection of computer voting machines in place that is going to get “uncovered” (much to the Clinton Campaign’s “surprise”)
This will be interesting.
It means they have no respect for the people who voted, the state they live in or their country. But they do love Hillary...
The problem is: What if it were a Democratic legislature? In the future, this review and delay tactic could be used to flip states from one party to another in presidential races in spite of the voters.
It is time to make a list, with names so we don't make the mistake electing them.
But it's not. And no state that is likely to be challenged has a Democrat legislature. In fact, Republicans control 69 of the 99 state legislative bodies (Nebraska is unicameral).
Thanks, this gets stranger. So Jill thinks she won both those Counties? So Hillary thinks she won these Counties by a larger margin?I’m just happy Bucks County went red.
I'd be very cautious about tinkering with the work of the Founding Fathers. The current arrangement has served us well for over 200 years. I'd be inclined to stick with what we've got.
Recall that, before 1994, the Democrats owned the House for over 40 years.
I am thinking about abuse in future elections Both sides could do it.
Oh for God’s sake. Does it never end with you people?
Nobody is stealing anything. Trump’s people are on top of it. They told me a week ago Wisconsin was “locked,” and sure enough, it is.
Please stop with damn hysterics.
Doesn’t work that way. You know it. Stop spreading disinformation. They have a total vote now. All they can do is claim that some votes were miscounted. They cannot add or subtract votes.
Bad idea. A state as large as CA could take a lot of time, legal delays, etc. CA has a Dem gov and Dem legislature. They would then do whatever it took NOT to certify (yes, even for Cankles) in order to tie up the electoral college.
Let CA and every other state be for now.
I was looking for a like button.
LOL. Some of the Twitter people are ridiculous with this.
I’m certainly sensitive to anyone trying to “steal” an election, but would prefer to hear it form a lawyer who knows PA, MI, and WI law, not a hysterical Freeper always convinced “they” are “out to get us.”
Sorry I figured most would know my comment was sarcasm
Well, in the past few days here, many have not said that with sarcasm. Sorry. You never know. Some people are melting down here over absolutely nothing.
Of course. But the methodology is there in the first place to deal with potential abuse in the vote counting phase.
And it is a right and proper remedy. The state legislature is, quite literally, the people's house -- the foundation of a democratic republic.
Not sure if it is the same everywhere in PA, but my husband and I work at our local polling place (Bucks Co.). ALL absentee ballots are checked (to be sure the person did not vote at the polling place) then opened, counted & added to the vote totals immediately after the polls close. There may be a provision for absentee ballots received after the date but mailed in time. Provisional ballots are very rare, and those are added in later, but before certification.
Anecdotal -- the ONLY place in my immediate area where I saw a majority of Hillary signs was Montgomery County, and this was in limited 3 or 4 main street sections. My thoughts are that there was a small group of VERY enthusiastic!!! Hillary fans who blanketed their areas and influenced some of the sheeple (or helped in more tangible ways - i.e. - driving to polls or "helping" the elderly to vote) to get out and vote "I'm with her!" - just an observation
Bucks went red?? I thought they were blue by a smidgeon
What fun would that be? (g)
Honestly, thanks for the oasis of sanity you provide in a desert of paranoia.
Reince Priebus has a DO NOT DISTURB card on his bedroom doorknob. And nary an RNC attorney can be found.
