You are correct. But all this caterwauling by these idiots will be followed by political suicides once the people discover what the like of Garcetti and the rest have brought to them.

What can be done? It is easy. All of these federal subsidies and grants come with strings attached. Jut add the string of this;

1. Institue a string that every person arrested or detained for any reason must be entered into a fortified e-verify action.

2. Devoid of an immediate response validating their citizenship, are held until either can be verified.

3. At the moment that it is detected the person is in this country illegally, no permits, visas or even over stay, the local ICE office is on standby to go immediately to pick them up.

4. They are then transported to a federal detention facility for deportation processing once their status is proven to not be a mistake.

5. If the sanctuary cities will need to go through a quarterly quick audit of collected data and if their arrests or detentions exceed the number of e-verify inquiries. They lose all grants and subsidies immediately.

This way, they have no excuse other than to continue their whining while their actual citizens learn what their elected officials have done to them in their name.

Great ideas, BUT they will immediately run to the Judiciary and we all know how that works!!! How did you like Prop 8 passed by 52.2% of the residents of Mexifornia in 2008? That really worked out well starting at the 9th Circus of Appeals.

In August 2010, Chief Judge Vaughn Walker ruled that the amendment was unconstitutional under both the Due Process and Equal Protection Clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment.............. On February 7, 2012, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, in a 2-1 decision, reached the same conclusion as the district court, but on narrower grounds. The court ruled that it was unconstitutional for California to grant marriage rights to same-sex couples, only to take them away shortly after. The ruling was stayed pending appeal to the United States Supreme Court.
