Is there reason to doubt climate change because some of the nation’s hottest days happened in 1898, as President-elect Donald Trump told the New York Times in an interview Tuesday?
In an exchange with Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr. and staff about climate change on Tuesday (Nov. 22), Trump said, “I have an open mind to it,” but later added, “You know the hottest day ever was in 1890-something, 98. You know, you can make lots of cases for different views.”
However, it’s misleading to single out a weather event — such as a particularly hot day in 1898 — as evidence for or against climate change, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Ocean Service (NOS).
Ninety-seven percent of climate scientists agree that this rapid warming is not due to natural causes, but due primarily to the result of human activity, according to NASA.

Surely there is some kind of conservative fact-check website for this...? These memes come up over and over again and it would be wonderful to be able to whack the mole with maximum efficiency. Sooner or later they are gonna run out of mole souls?
We DO happen to be in a short term warming trend. However the larger term picture, from the best analysis, looks like the freeze fearers were closer to the truth. Maybe we will have an optimum of both factors merging to keep things reasonable until Jesus returns and then it’s moot (He will run the weather).

I would put it like this... they don’t see the ability to trust God (or even “Gaia”) to keep the weather reasonably able to be dealt with — even as mankind has managed to survive in igloos at 40 below to burning Arabian deserts at 120 plus F, and even old-earth science hasn’t seen but one start of life on a globe that went on for billions of years without losing it all. Faith has been swallowed up in worry, worry, worry. Mankind’s feeble fires are going to throw this thing into hell? I don’t think so.
If Trump directed money to go to colleges who can disprove man made climate change, you can bet in a heart beat, there would be tons of projects at universities all over the US that would miraculously start producing results that contradict man made climate change.
This is how they got the universities on board with it, this is how to get the universities on board against it.
Lots of professors would love a 4 year grant to keep them afloat. Many are just whores. Tell them the results you want, fund them, and watch them work like eager beavers to churn out papers.
The one thing that has me worried about “global warming” is the fact that so many non-life scientists want to come up with ways to “fix” it.
This is dangerous. Carbon dioxide is completely essential for life—without it, life cannot exist. But these climate scientists, who seem to know nothing of life science and the carbon cycle, want to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Oh, life won’t disappear immediately. Quite a lot of carbon dioxide could be sequestered in a form unusable to life before we start to see effects on the earth. But by the time those effects appear, the damage to the biosphere will be extensive.
Let’s preserve life until the sun goes dim. Keep our carbon dioxide!
Climate Change, Global Warming, Global Cooling - all be damned. It’s global pollution that is the problem and it has nothing to do with climate change, it has to do with destruction of the environment by large scale industrial polluters in places that have no environmental laws to protect the environment. When did it change from cleaning up and preventing pollution to preventing climate change, something that’s controlled only by God or nature. The climate has been warming and cooling since the beginning of time and will continue to do so in spite of anything people do.
So True. The sheeple are so pliable with truth. They are poorly educated by design. College grads don’t know who fought WWII or where Tierra del Fuego is. Never will. They read the AP and think the “Russians planted “fake news” “!! They have no clue that hillary was a criminal who jeopardized their children ( that weren’t aborted) with her illegal server and destroyed evidence under subpoena ! They don’t have a clue that she took bribes directly using her husbands speeches , and gave favors with your tax money. They watch “good morning America” and think news is about “ling Ling” the Panda giving birth. They are hopelessly ignorant of history or REAL current events because THEY are victims of “FAKE “ news!! — Not us!!

The “environment” is not fragile.
The Earth is massive, and man is so small and dispersed on its surface that he is utterly feckless on the grand scale of reality.
Our population would have to be 100 times what it is to even begin to appear to affect “The Environment.”

There are some promises that will head off a disaster that bad. But we certainly can suffer in God’s chemical equation. People prayed for an era in which there would be a lot of elect. They call it various things like praying for revival, but it means the same. But then others put a stopper on the bottle pouring out the babies. This reduces the potential size of the victory.
