How do hoosiermama?
Went hunting with my brother, nephew, brother’s coworker and 4 sons for quail this past weekend. Had to settle for doves.
Making/baking dove breasts tomorrow- stuffed with Jalapeno peppers and creamed cheese, then wrapped in bacon, and... marinated first in Dr Pepper, for (now, going on-) 48 hours.
Have eaten quail. They were plentiful in northern Indiana. Never eaten dove (No quail in southern part of state )
