SEVERAL picks so far. LOTS of speculation and misinformation along the way
This week the country loudly let the PEOTUS know mittens was not on most favored list. Trump let the media know they were NOT on his most favored list. A snark designer who helped keep MO tacky advised other designers to stay away from Melania professionally. We ate too much probably on Thanksgiving and we possibly weren't appreciative enough of the blessings in this life.
I would think he would. The Secretaries, etc. will be managing them, rather than Trump. I would think it would be like we conducted interviews at the past few places I worked. The manager would do the initial interviews (sometimes other staff members would do so as part of a group or individually as well) and then the finalists would be reviewed by the Dept Head. The DH and hiring manager would then discuss and decide.
Congrats to @sopandeb for his big move to the NYT culture desk. The politics beat will miss him, although I'd bet @realDonaldTrump won't.
I think we figured the jerk Dims in the Senate would give Sessions a hard time during confirmation.

Bolton is active at FOX... perhaps a protocol exists that precludes discussing his consideration for SOS while employed with FOX.

Interesting observation but from what he said after the dinner:
Mitt Romney has praised Donald Trump, saying he has “increasing hope” that the president-elect can lead the country to a “better future,” following a dinner with Trump and Republican party chairman Reince Priebus in New York.
Doesn’t sound like the talk was about Trumps business affairs.
But who knows, they all talk in circles, code or something to confuse us all.

Petraeus showed extremely poor judgement in a dalliance between himself and his biographer, and the conveying of classified information to the same person, further erodes his fitness for the role of SOS. I am somewhat surprised he is under consideration. I would rank the known choices in the following tier:
1 Giuliani
2 Bolton
3 Other ?
4 Romney
5 Petraeus
6 Corker
Well the bar isn’t high at the moment. Donald talked about Petraeus at alot of his rallies. He might have been talking to Pet. for quite sometime.
I would not be surprised if MITCH is going to be the filter between TRUMP and his business empire. It is interesting TRUMP announced this morning he is giving up control of his business - the morning after his meeting with ROMNEY.
