Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump · Nov 22 I am seriously considering Dr. Ben Carson as the head of HUD. I've gotten to know him well--he's a greatly talented person who loves people! twitter -

Trump’s twitted yesterday that he was considering Carson for the HUD spot. Yahoo news = fake news.

Carson was on a fox channel this am and as much a made the claim that he had been offered the job. Huckabee was on both fox cable stations this am and didn’t say jack even when pushed.

I like Dr Carson and would welcome his appointment to a post that would take advantage of his medical knowledge, such as Surgeon General.
I would like to see an HUD appointee that has demonstrated the skills of “right sizing” a large organization like HUD...
it is one of the most bloated bureaucrappies in WashDC, with a number of offices and programs that are either NOT properly at the federal level to begin with, or are poorly performing. A manager with demonstrated downsizing and refocussing skills....

I am sure it’s all hanging on Carson. Trump does not want to make a formal offer until Carson agrees to accept it. Carson seems to be sitting on the fence.

BEN CARSON does not have the temperament need for cleaning up a corrupted, bloated bureaucracy.

Just my opinion... Ben Carson has been described as a “nice guy”. I don't know him and I will give him the benefit of the doubt. If nice guy means not trying to hog the stage, he achieved that in the primary. I was never impressed with him as a candidate, but, ok, he is a nice guy. Now he may be a brilliant surgeon, but when he says himself that he would be a fish out of water as a bureaucrat, it makes me wonder why he possibly thought he was qualified to run as president...I am not criticizing him. Just musing.

It sounds like a “pre-offer.” “Ben, if you want it, I will formally offer it to you.”
This allows Ben his dignity. Let’s pray for wisdom to apply to Ben. Maybe out of the bad fits for this ill conceived bureaucracy (no right way to do the wrong thing), Ben is the least bad of them all. The right thing would be to re-envision the role of HUD, while trying to avoid a calamitous upset while that is going on. Ben is at least versed enough in American founding philosophy to know the right thing, I believe. Return HUD-like activities to the states, at the least. The Constitution of the USA is ill suited for welfare activities on this level, and has to be distorted to keep them up. State constitutions, less of a problem.

Ben was on Dobbs last night and said he and Donald had discussed several areas and that he was taking Thanksgiving to think HUD and other areas and also said he was praying for guidance.

Gov Walker was first off the stage during the GOP primary. Yet, he was the one who put up with all the unions and recalls in Wisconsin. Maybe Ben is the same way inside the boardroom

Why not Surgeon General? Seems much more relevant to Carson. HUD needs much higher energy management.

It is fascinating that Obama wants to stop “fake news” but the exact opposite happens!! It is wild, like some kind of covert verbal code between him and his crazy leftist fascist media!
