Just to scratch the surface...

hmmmmm. Well that does change things. Oh God. I was hoping Common Core was a goner even moreso then school choice expansion (although I think that is great too). I hate Common Core with a passion.
LMAO @ all these posters bashing DeVos on common core. They need to open their eyes a bit.
Not very relaxing in fact.
She still supports federal standards.
Apparently in private schools as well.
One curriculum to rule them all, illiteracy and innumeracy to bind them.
She won’t actively support it if she takes the job......anyone really think Trump’s gonna hire someone that will sabotage his promises?
You should immediately be suspicious when someone on the board of jebbie’s organization says they’re against ‘common core’.
It’s a hot button topic.
Ask instead if they support total local and state control of the curriculum withOUT federal intervention. Watch them dissolve...
‘Common core’ is a vampire. No one has managed to put a stake in it yet.
I think Trump has learned over the years, part of leading is recognizing when a poor decision was made, and make another decision to change it. I’m not saying this decision was poor. Time will allow us to see her actions and reach a conclusion. But if she does not perform well enough for President Trump, he surely has the courage to revisit his previous decision.
Can you explain what common core is?
But she did NOT deny fedgov overruling states on the issue. Which amounts to the same thing.
Happy now? Or do you want to keep running your freakin mouth.
“Q: Theres been a lot of talk about Common Core. Can you provide some straight talk on this topic?
Certainly. I am not a supporterperiod...”
Oh, Oh...another woman....sheesh, doesn’t he know he’s a misogynist?
I’m against Vouchers. All it will do is corrupt private schools.
I sacrificed and paid a ton of money to send my kids to private schools because that was my choice. Why should some other family get to send their kids to the same school for “free” with a voucher?
“School choice” is Marxist?
You are sounding like a loon.

Race to the Top Assessment Program Review Guide
as of August 2011
In September 2010, as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), the U.S. Department of Education (Department) funded two consortia of states to develop next-generation assessments through the Race to the Top Assessment (RTTA) program: the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) and the SMARTER Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC).

The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) believes that assessments should work as tools for enhancing teaching and learning. Assessments that are aligned with the new, more rigorous Common Core State Standards help to ensure that every child is on a path to college and career readiness.

If you want the money your state will adopt Common Core.
Which means nothing.
Many states passed anti-common core resolutions.
The only thing that happened was the same EXACT curriculum got another name.
Ask her if she supports fedgov standards or if she supports letting the states choose 100% of the curriculum. I haven’t seen a concise, reassuring, answer to that question.
It does not appear that she has ever been “pro-Common Core.”
We have a winner!
