temporary doesn’t mean permanent

And, quite frankly, in the timespan of the 2 renewals the author admits to, there was plenty of time to apply for citizenship. Instead, the author wants a badge for flaunting the laws of the land, the same laws he now wants protection under.

Naw, that’s kind of the process.

I have friend whose parents came here from Peru.

Really a terrific guy and all out American. Hates soccer too.

He’s gone through similar process and had to renew twice.

But, he should be a citizen next May I believe and I hope to be invited to his party.
