Trump transition team appointments indicate a bid to dismantle net neutrality

President-elect Trump has made it clear that he is more than a little hostile towards the FCC’s implementation of net neutrality, both in his own words and, today, the appointment of two long-time adversaries of the policy to his transition team.

Jeffrey Eisenach is an economist and government veteran who worked at the FTC in the ’80s; he’s worked for a number of think tanks and research institutes that transmute industry money into custom expert critique, and under their auspices was a vocal opponent of the FCC’s current net neutrality rules. The New York Times did some excellent reporting on the man back in August, if you’re curious about the possibility of conflict of interest.

Trump is putting people in charge who set up the Internet. Good. Make it safe for AMERICANS. We don’t need some political hack from Brussels, or some former-American like Zuckberg, or some nation like Niger telling Americans how to treat their Internet.

“He should also repeal the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 and go back to the 1947 law outlawing propaganda.”

There aren’t enough jail cells to hold the media dungballs who would be arrested.

Stop calling it net neutrality! It is anything but! Net neutrality was a
concept of nonninvolvement. The democrat FCC turned it into government intervention into making things “fair and balanced” for communists and failing languages.

It is all fraud. ObamaUncare, netneutralization, climate control and fixing, etc

“We need to dismantle net neutrality”

Why does anyone think this is a good idea? Please explain? Without net neutrality, the internet is going to become a much more ‘regulated’ and boring place.

.
Net neutrality is theft of property.

Net neutrality is welfare for the goons that seek to destroy our society.

Should Jim have to have FR neutrality, and allow those with opposing opinions use his creation with reckless abandon?

You’re saying as much to those that build and maintain the internet infrastructure.

Net neutrality is the only reason sites like FR are able to exist in the first place. Otherwise, Jim and all the other small independent sites/blogs would be paying 10x the rate big sites like Facebook pay for bandwidth.

Net neutrality led to the renaissance in free speech that made Trump’s presidency a possiblity. Otherwise, we’d all be getting our news/information/political representation from whichever corporatist/globalist goons our “betters” decide, and being told it’s for our own good.

Mr. Eisenhower socialist, you are an idiot.

“net neutrality” is slowing us down drastically.

Before the socialist take-over installed their net neutrality everything moved freely.
