If you crossed the border without proper authorization you committed a crime. You are a criminal. It does not take a trial to prove that (and I do not believe illegal aliens get a trial, there may be a hearing but not a trial).
brucedickinson made three declarative statements, two of which are demonstrably false:
1) I did not know that anyone arrested was not a criminal.
Had brucedickinson said any illegal alien or anyone of them (having mentioned illegal aliens in the prior sentence) his statement would be correct. As written, is not a correct statement and that is what I took exception to. You and I are a subset of anyone and this statement may not be true for us.
2) To be arrested you [m]ust break the law.
Again, this sentence is simply not true. Mistaken identity can, and does occur.
I value precision in thought and in the written transmission of that thought. These statements were imprecise and wrong.
