A fashion designer who dressed First Lady Michelle Obama made headlines last week when she wrote she couldn't in good conscience do the same for Melania Trump.
But several designers we talked to say they'd love to work with the next First Lady.
Celebrity designer Bradley Scott says boycotting the First Lady is just plain disrespectful, whoever she might be. First Lady is First Lady, its a position that should be exalted not disrespected," Scott told FOX411. "I can't believe anyone would basically spit at the opportunity. Its so un-American."
Stylist Phillip Bloch, who was the creative style director for the Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants under Donald Trump, said he can see how a designer might want to make a political statement, bu says he plans on reaching out to the First Couple to help in any way he can.

She can use her own preferences and vendors...and her step daughter’s.
Don’t give mental midgets any airtime or business.
I am sure there will be plenty of fashion designers willing to make dresses for her.
Non-Issue.
Capitalism
My guess is that Melania Trump doesn’t really need a fashion designer...She probably does pretty well on her own...(She’d still be beautiful in a potato sack)....
“No, I can’t bake a Wedding Cake for faggots...”
but THIS is forbidden, eh...?
I’ve told this story before, but here goes again.... A family member is a buyer for a large (and in trouble) department store. She’s told me that the fashion world despises Woookie, in part because she is an ungraceful, graceless slob.
However, they fawn over her and declare her beautiful and such to be part of the “circle” and to keep getting invites. They KNOW the Emperor has no clothes but laugh behind her back. They laugh a LOT.
It might also be a truth that designers have totally trolled Cankles with hideous but expensive designs, to show she has no taste, just a lot of money.
That’s the gist of the article.
Thanks for retelling your story. Hadn’t seen it before.
I would imagine all of the female news anchors are on crash diets in advance of their first interview with the new First Lady. They all will probably be sporting well-coiffured hair as well as meticulously applied make-up.
Melania doesn’t have a big enough ass for this “fashion designer”.
If I were a fashion designer I would be making A beeline to the First Lady pitching my line!! Good gosh can’t believe that idiot fudged herself..any First starter designer would kill to dress an ex model and the First Lady to boot!! Freakin Idiot!! Melania would make any fashion even a walmart dress look spectacular!!!! I hope Mrs Trump gives an outsider the opportunity instead of the ny fashion establishment!
We have an incredibly beautiful and elegant First Lady. Designers will be falling all over themselves to design for her
How into herself is this so called fashion expert to think that the First Lady Trump would dream to have the designer that dressed the lump in the white house in shapeles gaudy african colored fashions like endless boob-belts, spider dresses etc ?
Misguided but she a right to decide who she does business with. Same applies to bakers of wedding cakes.
Speaking of News anchors...
Am I the only one here that noticed that in 2008 until this day, there has been a steady rise in unknown “Halfrican” News anchors and reporters?
Just askin’...
Mrs. Trump does not need nor want your help. Why would she want to wear a rag like this:
IF she had anything to do with the hideous things Mooch was seen wearing, she should probably find another line of work. Maybe in the tent and awning field, or horse blankets.
I would love if Melania were to make no comment on the “issue” and just go about her business choosing her own clothes and keeping it in the family. If she is asked about it by faux journalistes she should smile and say, “next question,” while looking in a different direction. If the press and the coutouriers get into a snit, well good for them, and us.
I for one would like to see a list of designers who do NOT want the First Lady to wear their fashions
