I watched about four minutes of the Spencer speech.
What I notice first is that Mediaite lightened the pic of Spencer at the top of the article about five shades to make him look like the whitest white guy ever. It’s clear from the video that he didn’t really look that way.
Next I notice he attributes the “if you will it it’s not a dream” quote to the ADL generally, not to a particular guy. The NYT report says he mentioned the guy’s name but in the video he does not. Not sure the significance of this error but happened to notice it.
Next I notice the NYT report says he was quoting Nazi propaganda when tweaking the media with the word “Lugenpresse”. But then I bump into an Ezra Levant video where Ezra makes the point that it’s actually a much older term and that in fact German Marxists were using it to harangue the press nearly a century before the Nazis did.
And then I have a question. Why did the reporters leave before the headline speaker spoke? They act like it was some big sneaky trick to wait until the press had left before wheeling out the big guns, but couldn’t the press have just stuck around a little longer? Was it sinister of Spencer to speak after their bed time?
I never got to the part with the purported Nazi salutes. I wonder what that was all about.
“Next I notice he attributes the if you will it its not a dream quote to the ADL generally, not to a particular guy. “
The particular guy is Theodore Hertzel. Strange source for a supposed anti-Semite.
He might be a Nazi. He might not be a Nazi. That video is insufficient evidence to make the case, and the burden of proof is on the accuser. He is also not a Trump supporter, and in fact criticizes Trump for “turning a blind eye to Jewish settlements in Palestinian land” and being in favor of affirmative action. The boy has cried wolf again.
