I don't. After doing my due diligence research, I know that the Founding Fathers' 1st Amendment was explicitly to protect political discourse, no matter how adverse it was to their principles, with exceptions about fire in a theater and other unrelated nonsense . That is why I never agreed with the "Fairness Doctrine" and still don't.
I don't know how to make the MSM more fair, but it's not through coercion or force. That is against everything I stand for as Constitutional advocate. I believe anyone can stand on a box, use a media outlet, peacefully assemble and say things I don't agree with. That said, slander, libel, sedition, and threats to persons are not included. There are criminal statutes and civil litigation for that.
Personally, I hope Trump did dress down those lying, embellishing, omitting, slanting, biased, manipulative prima donnas. It's been a long time coming. Just don't believe it happened as the "two" sources say.
Standing on soap boxes is about the only way conservatives have of reaching people. Liberals reach millions on an hourly basis, but you don't feel anything should be done to rectify this unfair and untenable situation we are facing?
I'm all for protecting constitutional principles, but in this case we have two principles in conflict with each other, and in such a case, the more important principle needs to Trump the other.
The most important principle is that both sides get equal access to the audience of millions rather than one side having complete control and veto power over this.
Television is not a printing press. Television is not a soap box. Television reaches and influences millions, and it is fact a source of power. Television is far beyond anything of which the founders could have envisioned in terms of it's persuasive power. It is just short of a brainwash machine for the stupid half of the nation.
The principle that all sides have equal access to the public is the higher principle involved here, and we need to find a way to insure that principle is operative in this country.
