President-elect Donald Trump exploded at media bigs in an off-the-record Trump Tower powow on Monday, sources told The Post.
“It was like a f—ing firing squad,” said one source.
“Trump started with Jeff Zucker and said I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed….
“The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down,” the source added.
A second source confirmed the encounter.
“The meeting took place in a big board room and there were about 30 or 40 people, including the big news anchors from all the networks…,” the source said.
“Trump kept saying, ‘We’re in a room of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong. He addressed everyone in the room calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. He called out Jeff Zucker by name and said everyone at CNN was a liar, and CNN was network of liars.
“Trump didn’t say Katy Tur by name, but talked about an NBC female correspondent who got it wrong, then he referred to a horrible network correspondent who cried when Hillary lost who hosted a debate – which was Martha Raddatz who was also in the room.

Would love to have been a fly on the wall for that meeting. I presume it was a bit more structured than the rant the media reports are suggesting. Good they are put on notice to face facts and clean up their acts. Trump should refuse them credentials until they do. No exception. They need him more than he needs them at this point, he should act. Great!

Donald is still kind of rough edged. He can’t smoothly segue yet into a discourse that stresses that he is caring about the truth. He talks from the negative side of it — that he loathes the lies, and the liars.
I have to chuckle, but they’re going to need an appeal from another angle to get the point. Mike Pence might just be that angle.
This report about the meeting... I’m suspicious about whether or not it’s true.

If it is true, I’d like to know how it ended. I doubt if he’d just go on a rant and stop. I hope there were threats made (by him) re credentialing, access, etc. Again — how did it end?

The MSM is looking for anything to prove that Trump is out of control and a train wreck. If they had it, they would run with it.

If this is true (and I doubt it) they won’t go to any more meetings with him, and will double down on the opposition. Leftists don’t give up.

That’s what I love about Trump. He will fight. He is not afraid to fight them. The media did their best to beat the living cr*p out of him. Nobody in the history of politics has ever taken such a beating, but he kept getting up and swinging.
Previous administrations and Establishment Republicans were afraid to fight the MSM, but finally, we have someone in the White House who is willing to fight these creeps.
The MSM is very good a fooling most of the people most of the time. They had most of the people fooled this last election — so much so that many Trump supporters felt intimidated about expressing their views. The MSM can derail Trump’s presidency if they are allowed to take free shots on everything he does.
Here are some ideas of what can be done:
-Trump needs to use the platform of the president to fight the media.
-Trump’s press secretary needs to fight the media. They should devote part of each session with the press reviewing many of the inaccuracies and smear jobs by the MSM. They might want to invite in conservative talk show hosts as guest speakers to have “conversations with the media.”
-Name a national ombudsman to monitor the fairness of the press. The ombudsman should have a weekly show on C-SPAN to review unfair pieces.
-Other high standing members of his cabinet need to fight the media every chance they get.
-Republicans in the House, Senate and state levels need to fight the media.
-Do televised focus groups reviewing unfair articles and clips by the MSM.
We are not going to infringe on anyone’s First Amendment rights, but we are going to prevent the smear jobs, brainwashing and one-sided reporting.
We need to help Trump fight the media. We can no longer sit back and let it happen. If we all fight together, we can finally open America’s eyes to the tricks, lies and misdeeds of the MSM.
