It was FDR who established internment camps during WWII.

In case anyone has forgotten.

Yes. FDR set up the internment camps.

And he was backed up by the SCOTUS at the time.

George Takei seems to have learned NOTHING

For all of his whining about being interned, he and his family were steadfast liberals.

In his book "To The Stars" he goes on and on about how awful it was.

Then he goes on to talk at length about how his family supported Adlai Stevenson in 1952 and 1956.

He speaks about how that election, in 1952 was his political "awakening".

No mention of just WHY his family supported the very same political party that put him and his family into these terrible camps.

I guess it's forgive and forget.

I don't get that.

It would be like a Jewish person voting for the Nazis a mere seven years after the end of WWII.

It was FDR who established internment camps during WWII.

Perhaps he did continue them, but it was "Judge Civil Liberties", Chief Justice Earl Warren who started the whole thing when he was AG of California.

Funny how that works out.
