Not even that since it's going to be rehabbed for the next six months. Trump is going to be officed elsewhere. Frankly, the whole place needs to be rehabbed so it's best the family stay home for the time being.
This is a spectacularly bad decision and suggests that the family does not yet realize that they have stepped into a new reality.
The wealthy normally can get by with minimal security precautions and tend to think of "threats" as being economic. Using money to project force and a team of lawyers is what is normally required for them to win "wars".
Unfortunately, cease and desist orders are highly unlikely to stop terrorists and other foreign agents.
The White House has security measures, in part being physical distance from guarded access points, that make terrorist attacks with conventional weapons and those of agents to mimic those attacks rather difficult.
Melania needs to realize and someone needs to explain to Barron that they are no longer just citizens and are in fact now valuable targets.
By staying in NYC they increase their vulnerability and increase the danger level to surrounding inhabitants as the ordinance required to take out that tower is going to likely be quite significant and create a lot of collateral damage.
The fact that the non hardened target is in NYC only makes it a more valuable terror opportunity. NYers are good about blowing off most events in their city, it doesnt effect their sense of normalcy as events elsewhere in town dont effect their personal lives. When events do occur that shake up the whole community not only to they become hysterical due to the illusion being shattered but, the media makes sure to use the event to destabilize the mental state of the remainder of the nations population.
Yes, Obama has been wasteful of tax resources,has shown disdain toward the American people in his inconsiderate movements, been traitorous in action, and generally been a real penis wrinkle to everyone responsible for his well being. None of that changes that Melania and Barron staying in NY is a foolish idea.
Don’t forget the separate plane for the dog and basketballs the taxpayers got to pay for.
To be fair, that wasn’t 24x7 lockdown traffic nightmares for one (very large) neighborhood.
I do however like the idea of their already granting him eight years in office.
There must be some way to secure Trump tower that would allow the least traffic issues for normal New Yorkers. Someone will come up with something. (Does Barron’s school have a heliport??)

Finish the school year young man. Get a grade and move to DC. Mon is right to stay with the young lad. My dad was in the army and we moved around a lot. Only one time did I attend the same school three year in a row. One year went to three different schools in my second year of high school. School was very difficult that year. As the teaching was different at each school. Total from K-12, I attended 9 different schools and three were out of USA, (2 in France and 1 in Canada).

Reportedly it will to be a very serious, heavy-duty renovation. I wonder if there are other areas of the WH that will also be disturbed that we're not hearing about.
When Truman ordered the WH gutted in the '50s, allegedly for installation of modern wiring, better security etc, the Truman family lived in Blair House for quite a long time, I believe.

I have one 9 yrs old niece and other three are 12, 15, 16, I know how they behave at this age. Barron is very very well behaved 10 yrs old.
I, too, wondered about little Barron when I saw him on stage during election night. I’ve had a bit of experience with children who have autism, since I am a teacher and always have at least a couple or more identified students every year in in my inclusion classes, as well as one or more who are probably unidentified as yet, but still somewhere on the spectrum.
I watched this video and under a second viewing, it does seem as if he very well may be autistic, especially when he shrugged off his father’s arms being placed on him. All the more reason for his mother to keep him where he is comfortable.
I give them great credit for thinking of their child first.
Camp out at the senate when on the job. Watching C-span the senate is always vacant until they vote. Bet if the President and the Vic sat in the chamber it would be full. Better yet have a daily president address to the senate. Then have the majority leader of the senate bring up a bill while he is their. When it passes he can sign immediately. Wonder how the senate would work if he was to do this or could he do it all.
