and you can make room in prison by releasing ALL low level pot offenders.
Heck build more prisons in the middle of Death Valley. As a nation even violent offenders serve only a portion of their sentences.
I made a career out of studying them, when I had to fight parole hearings to keep my 16 yr old son’s sociopathic killer in prison. 6 parole hearings. Jeremy was 16 by the calendar, but his body was that of a 12 yr old, he was ambushed and beaten to death buy this sociopath less than a block from coming home from school, with a 2 ft section of fence post. Sociopath drug his friends to the scene, threatened to kill them if they told from Jail. They caught him running from the scene after he was pointed out by one of the ones he drug there. Ran, Cops caught him. RINO AG plead him down from M1 to M2 20 yrs, first parole hearing after it took 2 yrs for a plea deal was just 10 months later, 5 more followed. I used gov’t stats to keep the SOB in prison every day until he maxed out his ‘good behavior’ time.
Stats lie.
prisons will free up much space when they deport criminal illegals too.
“and you can make room in prison by releasing ALL low level pot offenders.”
How many “low level” marijuana possession felons are there in prison? Single docket, first offense, possession only. (Would love to get a peak at your standards for defining, “low level” as well.)
Please explain the difference between a misdemeanor and a felony (without looking it up) and elaborate on the conditions of probation for first-time marijuana possession users at both the general, state level and for the Federal level.
By the time you’re done, you will understand why I get confused when I read comments about releasing the imaginary thousands (millions??) of non-violent, FOA, <1oz, marijuana users “languishing in State and/or Federal prison - for years on end.”
