the race card is dead

They cashed it out for good when Joe Biden told black people that Mitt Romney was going to put them all back in chains. Mitt Freakin' Romney!

From that point on, the claim "racist!" is utterly meaningless.

This term, “racist”, has been flung around with wild abandon for several years now, and I fail to understand just what it is supposed to mean any more. Is the “Black Lives Matter” movement racist? According to a strict interpretation of the meaning, yes, it would be. How about “La Raza”, a very militant group of Chicano activists, who are fond of asserting, “Entre La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada” (Inside the community/people, everything. Against the community/people, nothing)? Isn’t that pretty exclusive as regards EITHER black people or “gringos”?

(from Merriam-Webster)

Racist is defined as:

1 - a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
2 - (a) a doctrine or political program based on the assumption of racism and designed to execute its principles
(b) a political or social system founded on racism
3 - racial prejudice or discrimination
