I meet him in an elevator in the Rayburn Building (I think). He was dressed like a hobo (comfort shoes, rumpled jacket and tie, disheveled appearance). But he greeted me and the 3 people I was with, asked if he could help us with directions, got our names and locations, and THEN introduced himself and asked for our support. I told him I couldn’t vote for him but would if I could and that he didn’t have to worry about my red area of the country. He then paused, grabbed my hand and said, “son we conservatives got to stick together glad to meet you”. He stepped out and left us speechless.
