Have you ever seen a cast member lecture a theater goer from the stage before?...I am appalled.
I have never heard of such behavior.
Someone did it not so long ago over a cell phone going off.
I think the offense was disrespect for the office of vice president of the United States.
As much as we disliked Dinkins back in the day, we never booed him, because he was the mayor of New York City.
Manajiwin.
Respect.
Only when phones go off in the audience. The late Richard Griffiths was horrible at that. Al Pacino was brilliant at it - he’d insist on the taking the phone from the offender and then answer the call! “Can you call back later? I’m Al Pacino and I’m in the middle of a scene.” I was in the audience when Ronald Reagan went to see Will Roger’s Follies. Act-Up started screaming at him in the middle of the 2nd act and Keith Carradine lectured them on their bad behavior. He got a great round of applause.
